I was a little girl the last time I saw it done, but this evokes memories of same, so perhaps it's related? BIg organized flea markets would be a good site to look and I have looked there as well So many old things have been tossed out when non knitters inherit knitters old patterns interesting needles and tools I have more old needles and will try to post soon I have looked out for them and collected for over 10 years
